Discover Organic Fibers From Ethical USA Children's Clothing Shop

By Bertulda Zerna

Everyone should be concerned for the environment. Chemical use is a huge issue and traditionally, a huge quantity of pesticides and herbicides are used on cotton crops that are meant for textile use. There is a USA children's clothing company that offers products made with organic cottons.

For one thing, organic cotton appears to be softer - better for the sensitive skin of young children. Normal cotton can sometimes contain pesticide and herbicide residues, despite washing. Some children may be allergic to these chemicals (Although, of course, cotton itself can be an allergen - but many people who think they are allergic to cotton are allergic to dyes or formaldehyde introduced during processing).

Organic fibers offer a lot of environmental benefits. Conventional cotton fields only use 3% of all cultivated lands worldwide, though they account for about 25% of insecticides and 10% of other pesticides utilized. Farmers who raise their crops free of chemicals not only find that they can produce their products more economically, but their health tends to be better. They use innovative machinery and beneficial insects to cultivate the plants.

By buying organic cotton you also contribute to increasing the demand and therefore reducing cases of cotton harvesters (cotton is still mostly harvested by hand) being sickened by pesticide and, ultimately, reducing the cost of organic cotton fabric and the clothing made from it.

Even if there are no recent studies that show end users gain health advantages from using organic fabrics, consumers who purchase them are benefiting the well being of those who work the farms and the environment, while showing other cultivators that they can create marketable products without the use of pesticides and chemicals.

As a general rule, organic fibers are more durable and of a higher range of quality, particularly if they have been colored with natural dyes instead of synthetic ones, which often wear down and weaken the fibers. While shopping, read the labels on the clothes and consider the responsible option. The little extra it may cost will be worth it.
